Large quantities of unlicensed medicines have been taken by Department of Health authorities throughout a search of a house in .
A guy was talked to by department officers about illegally importing and consequently supplying unlicensed impotence medications via the web.
The 47-year-old was also questioned about other medication offenses.
He will now be the topic of a report to the Public Prosecution Service.
The search was performed by the department’s Medicines Regulatory Group.
Its senior enforcement office, Peter Moore, said: “It is crucial that we get the message across that unlicensed medications can be dangerous.
“These kinds of products being offered, usually online, have actually undergone no quality assurance and there can be no assurance about their safety.
“You merely do not understand what you are taking or the conditions these products were made in. More importantly, you do not know the effect drugs like this may have on your health.”
